Introducing...

She's finally here! Soran Dawn was born on Wednesday, April 22nd (Earth Day--I thought we should have named her River or Tree or something) at 5:31 p.m. weighing in at 6 lb. 5 oz. and 19 1/2 inches long.

I got to the hospital 41 minutes before she was born. Being so quick it was also quite painful and she wound up with a bruised face, but not quite as bad as Alivia's. She has been a perfect baby so far. She nursed right away and she sleeps well. She also puts up with the kids poking her in the eye, patting her head, kissing her all over and everything else that goes along with being this far down the line.

We don't have a picture yet of all the kids together, so I just put Livi's because it was the cutest. We are all quite taken with her and it makes me so sad to think she's my last. So I plan to enjoy every second and will post more later.

Easter season has begun

Like every holiday, Easter is starting to get a little out of control. I have honestly been thinking about getting rid of the Easter bunny to focus on the real aspect of the season, but I have a hard time not seeing my kids get so excited about it.

So Saturday we went to the second egg hunt the kids have been to this year put on by the city. They had a good time collecting eggs, visiting the petting zoo (except for Christian who stuck to me like glue and wouldn't even pet the bunny rabbits--that kid), and taking a ride on the hay wagon. It was fun watching Alivia figure out she was supposed to pick up the eggs and put them in her basket. Being a fourth child, she was trying to grab them all and hold them in her hands because you can't leave them unprotected. I finally convinced her to let me put them in her basket so she could get more.

Conference this weekend was awesome and seemed to come in the nick of time. Just when you need it. Next Sunday we are going to hold a devotional which should be good for focus, too. Happy Easter everyone!
